ヘミシンクを圧縮音源で聴く場合の注意点

　ヘミシンクの音源は圧縮してはいけないかと思っていたのでヘミシンクのファイルがiPodのかなりの容量を占めていたのだけど、ご示唆を頂いて調べてみたら、The Monroe Institute内のページに書いてあった。

A: Absolutely. These applications have been tested in the lab to make sure the Hemi-Sync audio remains consistent when compressed. Be sure to use "Apple Lossless" conversion from CDs for your iPod or be sure the compression rate is 160 or 192 or above for MP3s. You don't need to import in the ".wav" format. Enjoy Hemi-Sync® anywhere, but not when driving.

　簡単に言うと、

　つまり、

• wavファイルとしてインポートする必要はありません、ただし必ず
• 「Apple Lossless」という可逆圧縮フォーマットを使うか（参考：Apple Losslessとは - 意味・解説 ： IT用語辞典）、
• MP3形式なら160か192kbps以上の高音質なビットレートで圧縮してください

ということらしい。

　ヘミシンクを開発した米国モンロー研究所らしきWebサイト内のページなので、一応これが公式見解ということになるようです。

　もともとオーディオファイルは他のはどれも、BeatJamで192kbpsに圧縮していたのでそれと揃えればいいのか。（色々調べたんだけどMP3エンコーダとしてはBeatJamが評判がよかった。）
